W H Allen T47 2-stroke

This film was created in association with the Ouse Washes Landscape Partnership and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The W H Allen T47 is the only pressure-charged engine in the collection and is all the more unusual since it is a 2-stroke engine. The engine was recovered from Ten Mile Bank. 

4 cylinder supercharged 2-stroke diesel engine with exhaust valves.
Built to a Burmeister and Wain design licensed to W H Allen of Bedford by Harland & Wolff of Belfast.
