This W H Allen 3-cylinder conventionally aspirated 4-stroke diesel engine was recovered from Soham Mere. 
Year built: 1947
Cubic capacity: 37.4 litres (2315 cubic inch)
Bore: 230mm, stroke 300mm
Nominal power output: 76.5 BHP at 345 rpm
Flywheel diameter: 1320mm
Fly-wheel weight: 1.5 tonnes approx.
Engine weight: 10 tonnes approx.
Lubrication: recirculation system by crankshaft driven lobe pump through twin filters.
