Working Members
Volunteers who operate and maintain the Museum premises and exhibits. There are always plenty of jobs to be done, large and small, and volunteers can choose from a wide variety of tasks such as providing visitor services, maintaining engines and buildings, or participating in the day-to-day running of the Museum. Annual subscription: £15 for individual working membership, £30 for working couple membership.
Alternatively, you could become a general member of the Friends of the Museum: entitled to free admission to visit the Museum during normal opening hours and the general events as often as you like during the year, but excluding evening events, children’s activity days and third party events.
Annual subscription: £25 individual membership, £50 for joint membership. One of their own children under 16 can accompany each member when visiting the Museum, subject to the same exclusions.
Subscriptions run from April 1st to March 31st annually.
